After telling us for years that there would be no Evil Dead 4, Bruce Campbell has finally changed his tune! Many movie news sites reported rumours of another Evil Dead movie, which most fans are used to ignoring, but now Bruce Campbell has confirmed the news on Twitter.

Not a ton of details are known at this time. Will this be a remake or a sequel? Will Bruce Campbell actually star or appear in the film? More importantly, will Ted Raimi have a role?

Bloody Disgusting reports that the director is Fede Alvarez, who is best known for making the following short film:

Fede Alvarez has also written the script which is also being worked on by Juno’s Diablo Cody. Bruce Campbell, Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert will all have a hand in producing the film.

I’ve been hearing about this movie for a long time, and now I finally see a trailer. Bruce Campbell is the definition of a Geek God, and he’s a king of b-movies. In this film he’s playing himself and is charged with ridding a small town of an ancient Chinese demon. Looks like he’s playing with not only his own self image but that of movie stars in general. And even though the plot is ripped off Three Amigos, I’ll still see it.
