According to this article, Futurama is returning to Comedy Central. Fox will supposedly get the chance to air new episodes first, but most likely will not. The primary voice actors signed this week sealing a deal for 13 more episodes. Katey Sagal broke the news on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, which was later confirmed by sources of Don Kaplan of the New York Post.
We heard rumors of this before, but they were quickly quashed.
Anime New International is reporting the announcement of 3 new figures to the up and coming Revoltech line. New figures include Evangelion 03 (pre-angel), Shin-Getter 2, and Rebecca from Black Lagoon. I have added pictures of the new figures that were posted on ANI after the jump. The Eva looks like it has some cool accessories and Getter 2 looks somewhat promising.
I managed to track down a Shin-Getter 1 from the first wave of this line and hope to be sharing many pictures and a review later on. [Read the rest of this entry…]
According their official website the new Gargoyles comic was meant to be released this past Wednesday June 14th 2006… yet here we are. According to more reliable sources it will in fact be released this coming Wednesday, June 21st 2006. After such a time I will have a proper review. Until then please enjoy this stupid review of old crap mainly the old Gargoyles comic, a French Gargoyles comic or “Bande Desiné” as we call them and also a colouring book (seriously aDam? A colouring book?)
As the video resolution is fairly sub par I have included a few sample highmediocre quality scans of the reviewed items.
Ultimate Avengers 2 will be making its way to DVD shelves in August of this year. This sequel continues Marvel’s effort to make a presence in the straight to DVD animated video market. With titles such as Iron Man and Doctor Strange on the way, Ultimate Avengers 2 is solidifying the Marvel Animation Line. IGN has posted a video trailer.

iF Magazine spoke with recently resigned Marvel Entertainment head Avi Arad about upcoming film projects he’s working on for Marvel. In additon to breaking news that the next Hulk movie will be a complete “do-over” of the first one, he also says new cartoons for Spider-Man, Wolverine And The X-Men, Fantastic Four, and even Iron Man after that movie is done.
And he clarifies some of this ToyBiz confusion as well:
iF: Switching to toys how do the new HASBRO toy lines look in comparison to the previous TOY BIZ lines?
ARAD: TOY BIZ is very involved in the design of the toys, but the distribution will be through HASBRO. The scale isn’t going to change.
Maybe Marvel Legends isn’t in as much danger as I thought, because Hasbro seems to have no trouble getting mountains of Star Wars, GI Joe and Transformers to market…

Japanese TV gets about as much US animation as we get Japanese animatiton. And just like on our shores they have to translate it, and sometimes cut new opening sequences.
And just like our imports, I think its safe to say Japanese fans probably complain about bad translations and oddball changes as much as those in the west do. Enjoy.
