Icon Heroes has updated their blog with both new images of the upcoming regular release of the Lion-O mini-statue and their SDCC variant. The SDCC variant features the short version of the Sword of Omens as well as a desert environment base, while the regular release features the full length sword and a jungle environment base.
I am really digging the packaging on that SDCC variant.
Pictures of the two are after the jump! Let us know how you think they turned out.

Jazwares has been working on the new Robot Chicken line, but until now we have not seen any of the figures. Today, we got our first look today at one of the figures, the Robot Chicken himself (see above). The line will start by featuring a handful of easily recognizable characters to whet the appetites of fans. According to UGO, in addition to the Robot Chicken, the line will include Mad Scientist Frankensteined, the Candy Bear caught in a bear trap, the Humping Robot (packaged with his humpee washing machine), and the show’s ever-recognizable Nerd character (which will be available as an exclusive at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con). More pictures will be available in ToyFare #157 on sale later this month.

The 23rd film in the James Bond film franchise has been canned. MGM, one of the franchise’s backers from the start, is heavily in debt. Many are quick to point out that this will not be the end of the series featuring the covert british agent with a license to kill. It will only be a matter of time before another company picks up the rights. It appears that Spyglass Entertainment is most likely frontrunner to pick things up, with Summit Entertainment (those responsible for the Twilight films) not far behind. This 23rd installment was to star Daniel Craig returning to the role with Sam Mendes directing. It seems likely that both will be pursuing other opportunities very soon.
MGM’s debt has affected other films currently in limbo as well, most notably The Hobbit.

And for more on Botcon in general, check out this week’s PowetCAST here.

Since the alphabet is the building block of our language, the Powet Alphabet is the building block of what makes us geeks.
Most of us are geeks about stuff like Legos. But this kid? Zack? He’s a Lego Maniac!
