At last!

Some hard details have been posted about the forthcoming DVD release of Mike Young Productions’ reincarnation of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe.

Volume 1 is already up for pre-order on Amazon here.

BCI Eclipse has released the cover image and Extra Feature details for Volume One of the He-Man and the Masters of the Universe cartoon produced by Mike Young Productions!
Each episode will include the original moral segments! (never seen on Cartoon Network)

Anamorphic Widescreen (1.78:1) – Digital Stereo

There will apparently be a Blu-Ray release, but it will be delayed because they are working on some features that will take advantage of the format, but are not close enough to completion on just yet. Details on that are forthcoming.

The release breakdown is as follows:

Volume 1 – February 19, 2008
Volume 2 – April 2008 (projected date)
Volume 3 – Summer 2008 (sounds like more of a guess than a projection)

Seeing as that’s all I have of the series is the first five episodes on a DVD I made, it’s been pretty dry since they quit showing it. I’m really looking forward to these. Too bad they couldn’t go further with it.

Did anyone watch the episode “the courage of adam”? Did anyone notice that they cut out most of the middle of the episode? There is at least 8 mins gone from that episode. One minute Prince Adam is in a cage above a lava pit, then literally seconds later he is He-man standing on a ledge with Teela, Cringer, Ram-man, Mat-at-arms, and Orko. The whole section where the robot
He-man comes to “save him” that they cut out…what’s up with that?
