Dead or Alive 5 is 4 years old, yet it’s still recieving content. At last week’s Dead or Alive festival, Tecmo/Koei revealed that Mai Shiranui from Fatal Fury/King of Fighters will be joining the game as paid DLC, at least in Japan. Given Mai’s ‘proportions’, she fits quite well with the ladies of DOA. She joins a cast that includes Virtual Fighter’s Akira, Samurai Warrior’s Naotora Ii, and Momji from Ninja Gaiden. Check out the trailer above, and check out more surprises below.

Throughout the next few months, several new costumes will be made available as DLC. Among them will be a series of DLC costumes inspired by the ladies of KOF. KOF won’t be the only crossover in DOA this year, as DOA 5 will also receive a series of costumes inspired by characters from Aquaplus’s universe of manga and visual novels such as Utawarerumono, ToHeart, and White Album.

The biggest surprise of all however is a series of costumes based on the anime Attack on Titan. The costumes will be accompanied by a special stage inspired by the anime as well.
