Oh man. Hudson did one of my favorite/hated games on the NES: Faxanadu. I remember nearly breaking a controller over that game.
I think the Japanese version had lot’s of stuff that the American version didn’t. Religious stuff; crosses and crucifixes.
The thing had fantastic music from Jun Chikuma who did seeminly all the music from Bomberman. She also did DoReMi which my wife loves.

Definitely a finger on the pulse. 😉 Faxanadu is an example of Nintendo’s larger proclivity to remove all religious imagery from its games.

At least the workers went over to working for Konami instead of becoming unemployed.

I think Bomberman is actually a spin-off of Lode Runner (the NES version). Because his sprite was actually in the game.That’s my take on it.

NEC had really lousy marketing. They did too much, kind of like Mattel with Intelevision.

The Founders of HusonSoft were two brothers who really into trains.

And I think Konimai bought them out because of social networking services, and mobile gaming.

And you don’t know how lucky you are to have never heard of Bomberman Act Zero!
