In a wave of multi-site reveals on Monday, many of the new figures for Transformers Prime debuted along with the next Optimus Prime figure based on the franchise’s forthcoming third movie, Transformers: Dark of the Moon.

Clearly capitalizing on the buzz from the premiere of the Transformers 3 trailer during the Super Bowl the day before, Hasbro gave Brian Truitt of USA Weekend the exclusive on the first figure from the Transformers Prime toy line, Arcee. Arcee will be a deluxe figure and should be hitting retail at the beginning of October. This tends to guarantee the summer releases will focus on the movie, but will not be dragged out quite so long as the Revenge of the Fallen line had. (But I’ve been wrong before!)

Continue after the jump for many more revelations!

UGO.com got the next reveal showcasing Transformers Prime Starscream. I think this may have been the second most underwhelming reveal of the day, but more on that later. Starscream will be a deluxe figure.

IGN got the pleasure of revealing the new Transformers Prime Bumblebee. Also weighing in at deluxe class, he’s a more movie influenced design with some elements from Transformers Animated. I have to say that the robot mode image look mistransformed in the shoulder areas at the very least. We’ll have to wait until Toy Fair this weekend to get a better look of what he’s supposed to look like.

The final reveal of Transformers Prime product was an entertainment pack of figures including Optimus Prime, Megatron and all three human children from the series. In this case, Aint It Cool News got the scoop, but it was pretty clear they didn’t really know the source material, nor much about the product itself, as there was little in the way of details aside from the pictures and a lot of flaming comments from readers about toy news on a mostly movie news site.

If all that wasn’t enough for you, io9 and their terrible new site layout got the scoop on the big ticket item for the Dark of the Moon line, Transformers Mechtech Ultimate Optimus Prime. He weighs in at a whopping US$79.99. Here’s the official blurb:

Transformers Mechtech Ultimate Optimus Prime Action Figure
With the upcoming Transformers: Dark of the Moon movie, one of the most iconic characters in the Transformers lore will capture the spotlight as his heroic story becomes the focus of the first-ever 3D Transformers movie. Now, an action figure befitting such an icon will be available with the new Transformers Mechtech Ultimate Optimus Prime action figure. The figure includes the Autobot leader’s classic trailer that doubles as a weapons arsenal and is an integral part of the figure’s converting play pattern. The Mechtech Ultimate Optimus Prime figure features three modes of conversion – vehicle, robot, and robot with “mech suit.” The trailer, which serves as a weapons depot and command center, also converts into a “mech suit” that Optimus Prime shows off when it’s time to rumble. Featuring lights, launching projectiles, electronic battle sounds and Optimus Prime phrases, this is the must-have item for kids and fans alike.

So Optimus’ trailer allows him to turn into a giant butterfly I guess. Its cheaper than buying two leader class figures, I suppose.
