Is Vectorman Sega’s version of Mega Man?

Might as well be. Sad that he didn’t get as many titles.

To answer your question, no. Megaman was released on the Genesis in the form of The Wily Wars, which waas a compilation of the first three games on one cartridge. They also made a version for the Game Gear, and that cost me a pretty penny let me tell you.
Honestly though, I was a huge Nintendo fanboy when you had to pick one console or the other back when game consoles were good, I think I prefered vectorman to most of the other side-scrolling shooters. It’s an amazing game, great music, graphics (for the time they looked rather good!) and it was one of the reasons (other than Golden Axe) that I bought the Ultimate Genesis Collection for my 360.
