Star Wars Clone Wars Trailer

Here is the theatrical trailer to the ~~next~~ ~~last~~ most current Star Wars movie. Yeah, I thought I could close that chapter of my life with Revenge Of The Shit, but the bearded bastard has decided the first string of episodes of the next Clone Wars animated series are good enough to be a movie. With the way the last 3 movies went, it would be hard for it not to be as good. I liked the pilot episode to Justice League, but I didn’t think it should be projected on a screen.
How many people here are ready to bury Star Wars and never look back? With as many bad movies as there are good ones, and more bad books, games, and action figures than I can possibly count, I’m ready to declare this franchise DEAD. It lives on like a zombie, feeding of nostalgia and blind faith in the Jedi arts. The space opera of the Skywalker clan is running on fumes. If I end up in the theater watching this, it will surely be a mistake. Disagree and flame me if you must, but try to think of one moment in the last nine years since Phantom Menace that we’ve been able to be proud and excited about Star Wars… What have you got?

Okay now that I’ve watched it… ouch…

What exactly is the point of retelling a story we’ve already been told? How small of a gap could we need to fill in?

The shit designs look okay but any human characters look ugly since they’re based off of the designs of an ugly animated series.

Pass. Most games these days look better.

I have to state that the clone wars cartoons have been the only good thing since return of the Jedi.

That said, I have more hope for this than I did going into episode 2 or 3 after seeing Phantom.

I am hoping that portions of tis are as badass as the Mace Windu episode of the clone wars cartoon, where he forced the bolts out of a robot and then used those bolts as shrapnel to destroy 20 others.

That’s the kind of badassery the movie’s needed, and I hope to see in this one.

If I’m bored and for some reason have an extra 8 bucks I don’t want come 8/15, I might see this. It doesn’t need to be on the bigscreen, but it doesn’t bother me that it will be.

Regarding Star Wars, I’m mainly in it for the droids, if they release an interesting one I’ll buy it. Sometimes even the less interesting ones, plus I’ve been trying to cut back on the Astromechs and Protocol Droids(unless there’s a really good deal on). Why should I fall for a slight repaint here, where I’ve managed to deny myself most of the Transformers repaints.
um, point being, I have no great need to see this at this point.
