The 4400 Canceled
by aDam, filed in TV on Dec.19, 2007

Scott Peters, creator and executive producer of the 4400, has posted a not on the official 4400 message board that the 4400 has been canceled.
This will be a great disappointment to fans of the show who were left with yet another cliffhanger at the end of season 4 as a number of questions about the story remained unanswered.
No doubt a barrage of online petitions will follow this announcement. Feel free to write angry letters if you think that might make you feel better.
The first 3 seasons are already available on DVD:

Not to come off like a prick, but the fans should be grateful the show lasted as long as it did. 4 seasons is a good run for a sci-fi show that aired on a basic cable staion like USA. If it’s any consolation though, I do hope that the studios will give 4400 fans a 2 hour movie that will wrap up all of the loose ends.

Haha. No kidding. Every year I was sort of surprised this show was on for another year considering I barely knew about it. I caught it on a whim once and watched it but no one I knew had heard of the show.
I’m glad for what I got but I am a bit bothered by the unanswered questions. I don’t mind short lived shows I just wish they were given time to wrap up the story, which is always a problem for sci fi shows, no matter how long their allowed to run. *cough*Stargate*cough*

This was my favorite show on TV. I enjoy Heroes, I enjoyed Journeyman, but 4400 was the best.
