EXCLUSIVE – Future Marvel Comics Storylines Revealed!
by Dru, filed in Comics on Apr.01, 2007
We here at Powet have come across a news source which has exclusively supplied us with a number of upcoming Marvel storylines! In fact, I can personally PROMISE you proof of these upcoming stories from Marvel:
- Daredevil: Agent of SHIELD!
- Wolverine vs. Hulk… To the death… OF BOTH OF THEM?
- AND THEN, Wolverine comes back… as a vampire!
- The Surfer is Galactus’s herald for now… Until he’s replaced by Dazzler!
- The new Thor series puts the hammer in the hands of someone new: Rogue!
- When Punisher becomes the new Captain America… Venom will become the new Punisher!
All the proof you could ask for AND MORE … After the jump!
Do my claims sound too dubious to be true? Well hold on to your incredulosity, because here’s the bombshell – The source of my information is none other than the old What If? series that Marvel used to publish. Wait, don’t run away! I have proof – Look how Marvel’s been using it to test drive stories FOR YEARS!
What If? Vol 1, #2 What if The Hulk had the brain of Bruce Banner? |
What If? Vol 1, #30 What if Spider-Man’s clone had lived? |
What If? Vol 1, #37 What if the Beast and the Thing continued to mutate? |
See: Smart Hulk | See: The NOW CLASSIC Clone Saga |
See: What the Beast looks like now, man. Seriously. (The Thing also went this route a couple decades back) |
What If? Vol 2, #33 What if the Phoenix rose again? |
What If? Vol 2 #92 What If? Starring Cannon- ball’s little brother Josh and his pet Sentinel |
What If? Vol 2 #105 What If? Spider-Man? |
See: Really? It’s Jean Grey. I’m not bothering with a reference for this one. |
See: The series called Sentinel (also featuring a white kid with brown hair!) |
(Yes, what if Spider-Man, indeed.) See: Spider-Girl |
I see the doubt still lingering in your eyes, despite the ovewhelming evidence to the contrary. But I assure you, even many of Marvel’s most recent storylines can be found in What If?’s pages!
What If? Vol 1, #23 What if The Hulk had become a barbarian? |
What If? Vol 1, #9 What if the Avengers had fought evil during the 1950’s? |
What If? Special #1 What if Iron Man had been a traitor? |
See: Planet Hulk | See: Agents of Atlas | See: Civil War |
What If? Vol 2, #9 What if the X-Men died on their first mission? |
What If? Vol 2, #14 What if Captain Marvel had not died? |
What If? Vol 2, #64 What if Iron Man sold out? |
See: X-Men: Deadly Genesis |
See: Civil War: The Return |
See: Civ…Wait, I did that one already |
Do you believe me now? No? Really? Ok, well, let these last two be my final proof:
And now, at long last the evidence you’ve been waiting for, some truly fine gems from the prophetic halls of What If?…
You know what? Nothing in the entire universe could top that last prediction. Marvel, I’d say you’d better be taking notes… but if past performance indicates anything, it’s that you’ve already seen these covers, and have planned the next 10 years of crossovers out with their help.
Poweteers, take heed. You read it here first.
Much love to The Grand Comic Book Database for their vast supply of comic book covers, without whom this would have been really, really, really difficult.
Happy April 1st, everybody!
