Two more Revoltech figures announced

Organic Hobby has announced two more figures that will be featured in the upcoming Revoltech line of poseable anime icons. Eva-02 of Neon Genesis Evangelion and King Gainer of Overman King Gainer.

Eva-00 of Neon Genesis Evangelion
Eva-01 of Neon Genesis Evangelion
Dante of Devil May Cry
Shin Getter Robo of Getter Robo
Dougram of Fang of the Sun Dougram

I have found a gallery of the already announced figures here at CollectionDX. The Shin Getter Robo looks to be the most impressive so far. The Eva figures will be hard pressed to top the previous and now classic Kaiyodo Eva series of figures.

The Kaiyodo’s were indeed excellent figures (excluding the End of Evangelion figures, which were not as impressive…they adopted the skinnier look from the movie). I hope the Revoltechs are at least as good, as I already have Unit-00 and Unit-01 on order.

But anybody with $60 to spare with an appreciation for the show should look at possibly getting one of the Bandai Soul of Chogokin Evangelion Units. The earlier models are hard to get hold of these days, but I keep my Eva Unit-01 posed next to Masterpiece Convoy with a Kaoru from the Kaiyodo version. Heavily die-cast and highly poseable…you could fold one in a flying drop kick pose, throw it at someone, and actually knock them the hell out. Talk about play value 😀
