The second trailer for Logan has been released (above). This film marks the last time Hugh Jackman will be playing the role of Logan/Wolverine for Fox Studio’s franchise of X-Men films.
In the near future, a weary Logan cares for an ailing Professor X in a hideout on the Mexican border. But Logan’s attempts to hide from the world and his legacy are up-ended when a young mutant arrives, being pursued by dark forces.
Logan will be released to theaters on March 3rd, 2017.
Here’s our first look at Hugh Jackman’s last outing as Wolverine. While it looks somewhat inspired by the Old Man Logan storyline, it looks like most of its inspiration comes from Clint Eastwood westerns and Mad Max. It’s definitely a different take on the superhero genre and could be fitting for Wolverine’s last hurrah. We also get a glimpse of Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier, Boyd Holbrook as villain Donald Pierce, and a little girl that some believe could be X-23. Check it out and tell us what you think.
Very little has been revealed about the third solo Wolverine movie, save that it will be Hugh Jackman’s last time portraying the character, Patrick Stewart will be in it as Charles Xavier (in what could be his last time playing as the character), and its protagonist could be Mr. Sinister. Howsoever, it seems like we finally have a release date, along with a name change. Also, a page from the script was posted online by director James Mangold hints at what direction the film will take. The third and final trailer for X-Men: Days of Future Past has been released. This is probably the most comprehensive trailer explaining the plot and showing us the initial confrontation between past-Xavier and future-Wolverine. We also learn that Magneto is in custody and Wolverine contacts Quicksilver to aid in the escape. Check out the trailer above and check out some of the related reading/viewing below.
Be sure to let us know what you think about the trailer in the comments!
We finally have our first look at the trailer for X-Men Days of Future Past.
We have a much better idea of how events will take place now, particularly knowing that the messenger into the past will not be Kitty Pryde (as in the comics), nor Bishop (as in the 90’s cartoon). Instead that messenger will be Wolverine. It makes sense as far as the movie universe goes, unfortunate, though, that those other characters won’t get the development that Wolverine already has.
This past weekend I was lucky enough to participate in the open beta for Gazillion Entertainment’s free-to-play MMORPG Marvel Heroes. I got an invite for the closed beta a few weeks back, but didn’t have the chance to play for very long. I took more time with the Beta this past weekend, and was impressed by it. Since progress in the beta won’t carry over to the game’s launch, I avoided making too much progress in the game. At the same time, I got a good sampling of what the game had to offer. Marvel Heroes will feature over 2 dozen playable characters (including Rocket Raccon and Squirrel Girl), each with their own upgradable skill tree, Unreal Engine 3 powered graphics, randomly generated environments, and a script by Brian Michael Bendis (Avengers, Uncanny X-Men, Ultimate Spider-man).
