This past weekend many people got to see this new promo for the sequel to Batman Begins ahead of I Am Legend, and now everyone can see it online. Its being hosted on one of the many websites for The Dark Knight, A Taste For The Theatrical.
Not online in any official capacity is the 6 minute IMAX scene that also ran ahead of IMAX showings of I Am Legend. Bootlegs flood youtube, but don’t watch them unless you feel you have no other choice.
“Cloverfield” was the code name for this secret movie that was filming with unknown actors and had a huge preview before Transformers. Now the movie officially has a title… Cloverfield. Well at least we know what to ask for when we buy the tickets.

With Halloween quickly approaching, it’s commonplace to expect some big-news action being spewed out from Hollywood, and the past few weeks have been no exception. However, even with Saw IV having been released to theaters this past Friday, it looks as if the holiday season doesn’t have nearly as many horror-based films being shown as some might like. (with the exception of Nightmare Before Christmas 3D being re-released again this season, and “30 Days of Night”)
Apple.com is hosting the long awaited trailer to the 2008 movie adaptation of the Marvel comic Iron Man. Directed by Jon Favreau, it stars Robert Downey Jr, Jeff Bridges, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Terrence Howard.
This trailer will be very familiar if you saw the footage from ComiCon, but this is of course much higher quality.
I loved Alien. Loved Aliens. Love Predator. But Paul WS Anderson’s mash-up movie was really boring.
Thankfully first time directors Greg and Colin Strause are taking the best they can do with both franchises and turn it into a real gore fest. I’m not sure this trailer isn’t merely spoiling all the best parts, but it at least shows they’re trying and not turning in a weak PG13 non-event like the last one. This is what happens when you let visual effects artists control the movie. One of the female leads even looks like Ellen Ripley, which makes me mad when I think about Sigourney Weaver in that DirecTV commercial.
BillyVsSteve.com is the official site for “The King Of Kong: A Fistfull Of Quarters” a documentary film about Billy Mitchell, the worlds greatest Donkey Kong player; and Steve Wiebe, the man who set out to beat him.
The movie opens this weekend in select cities and will be expanding in the weeks that follow. You can see the schedule here, but it wouldn’t hurt to ask your local indie movie house if they’ll get a print soon.
Its a fair assumption that all of the Powet Crew are fans of Michel Gondry. If it wasn’t his films like Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind, it was his music videos like “Everlong” by the Foo Fighters
This is the trailer for Gondry’s latest movie “Be Kind Rewind” starring Jack Black and Mos Def. These actors from the world of music are video store clerks who through tragic circumstances must recreate classic movies to keep their store open.

I was browsing through my feeds this afternoon, specifically the Blogs@Newsarama feed and saw the following preview posted to YouTube. It looks pretty interesting. It will be based off of Darwyn Cooke’s comic that was highly influenced by the silver age of DC comics. This trailer was shown at SDCC and will apparently be released in Spring 2008, though the B@N post says February 2008. Keep your eyes open for more info and feel free to share any thoughts on the trailer in the comments!
