Star Wars Celebration kicked off today with the release of a new trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the seventh movie in the science fantasy series. The movie is set for release on December 18, 2015 and will feature many of the actors from the original trilogy of movies.

It looks like we will be getting a sequel to the Frank Miller blockbluster, 300. Rise of an Empire is scheduled for release in March of next year.
The events of this movie appear to take place not long after the first film.

Justice League Doom is an all new animated movie coming from DC. It will be based on Mark Waid’s JLA: Tower of Babel story. The movie is the late Dwayne McDuffie’s final work. The movie also features the voices of:
Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern
Tim Daly as Superman
Kevin Conroy as Batman
Michael Rosenbaum as The Flash
Susan Eisenberg as Wonder Woman
Carl Lumbly as Martian Manhunter
Phil Morris as Vandal Savage

The history of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe is a constantly changing story. This documentary confronts some of the conflicting stories from those who take credit for the franchise’s origins. Having read a bit about the history of Mattel and grazing over this period of their history, I can’t say as that I am surprised by the conflicting stories. Mattel’s corporate culture did nothing but breed this type of in-fighting. I look forward to the release of this documentary.

It seems to be a big day for movie trailers. I came across this new Sherlock Holmes trailer while checking some twitter feeds. Looks to be as fun as the first film.

We get our first look at the teaser trailer for the Dark Knight Rises. Mostly reused footage and audio from the previous movies, with a short scene with Commissioner Gordon (Gary Oldman) in a hospital bed talking to Bruce Wayne. Its hard to make out what he is saying, but he’s basically telling Bruce, the city needs Batman.
