It seems that Cartoon Network will be getting a Green Lantern animated series possibly as early as Fall 2011. According to information disseminated at an investors’ day for Time Warner, the CEOs of Turner Networks and Warner Bros. both made comments about collaboration between their businesses and used this animated series as a shining example. The animated series will follow the June 17, 2011 release of the Green Lantern feature film starring Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan.

Conan O’Brien is, as of the time of this writing, still the host of The Tonight Show on NBC. Previously he was the host of Late Night, and a writer for Saturday Night Live and The Simpsons.
Conan is currently in dispute as the 11:35pm host on NBC, as network decision makers want to bring back Jay Leno, who moved on from the position in 2009. As a respected comedy writer and performer with legions of fans around the world (especially in the geek community), its worth noting why we love him.
Here are some highlights from outside his talk show career: [Read the rest of this entry…]

Since the alphabet is the building block of our language, the Powet Alphabet is the building block of what makes us geeks.
I know many followers of the site were expecting me to do Transformers for T. I think one of the great things about this article series, though, is the randomness and variety of topics we span from week to week. I like to see articles that I don’t necessarily expect on familiar and/or unfamiliar topics. I could not think of anything more random and unexpected than just about anything from a Tick story. For that very reason T is for The Tick.

This may not be new info, but it was new to me. GI Joe Resolute, the micro-series that aired on Cartoon Network as a build up to the hype of the live-action movie, will be making its DVD debut on November 3, 2009. If you are like me, and completely missed the airring, this is your chance to find out what happened.
Did any of you commenters watch it? Let us know what you thought below. Sharing is caring, people!

Thanks to Mike Xfactor on our forums for alerting me this has been posted online. Brock’s gone, Hatred’s off the deep end, Dean loves Hitler, 21 is Larping, Doc comes back from the future, and Hank needs a haircut. Also, David Bowie returns.
The foruth season begins in November with 8 episodes, and will continue summer 2010 with 8 more. Yes, its terrible to split the season into 2 parts, but we’re getting 3 more episodes than we got from previous seasons, and not nearly the wait there was from season 2 to 3

This is the follow up to Sega/Treasure’s Bleach: The Blade of Fate which was released in the U.S. in 2007. Based on the popular anime of the same name, Bleach: Dark Souls provides more fighting action featuring your favorite characters from the series. One would look at this and call it Bleach: The Blade of Fate Championship edition, and they wouldn’t be completely wrong, as Dark Souls borrows a lot of its content from Blade of Fate. However, there is a huge amount of new content in the game, and some gameplay refinements have been made, making this game stand out from its predecessor.

If you’ve been keeping up on the New York Comic-Con news from last week, you’ll note that there was only one newsworthy item to come out of the entire show – There’s a new trailer out for Season 3 of Venture Bros.
Quick Stop Entertainment got the scoop, but – nice guys that they are – the video is free to be embedded everywhere, from here to your bedroom ceiling. Assuming, of course, your bedroom ceiling is A) made of HTML and B) capable of handling this much awesome.
So grab a seat, sit back, and get ready to be teased. And keep an eye out for a wicked sweet G.I. Joe parody about 3:55 into the thing.

Some of the icons from the Adult Swim lineup of shows will soon be making their way to retail in the form of KID ROBOT‘s small vinyl figures. Each are packaged individually and blindboxed, with 25 in each case. Below is an image from Action-Figure.com of the side of the individual box. It shows the line up and case breakdowns for the series. It appears if you buy a full case, you will be missing either Lil, Mad Scientist or Ignignokt & Err. If I bought a full case and didn’t get the Mooninite duo, I would be enraged.
Below are the links to Action-Figure.com. They had an article for each group. Unfortunately, their case was missing the Mad Scientist.

Aqua Teen Hunger Force
Frisky Dingo
