Dark Knight on set with Joker & The Tumbler

jokeronset.jpg
Fox News in Chicago apparently has to spy on the set for Batman stuff just like a common blogger. They report, we scrutinize on inter-net.

Clip 1 shows the Tumbler parked with set crew working on it. Enjoy those cargo shorts.
Clip 2 shows the Joker… skateboarding? Hard to tell whats going on there.
Clip 3 begins with Heath Ledger as the Joker standing a bit more and then some more low speed Tumbler driving.

After 2 odd live action trailers, here is the first real look at the Dreamworks animated “Bee Movie” by Jerry Seinfeld.

Aaron Eckhart Talks Harvey Dent in Dark Knight

I Believe In Harvey Dent
MTV’s Movie Blog recently caught up with Aaron Eckhart and got him to talk a little bit about his role in the next Batman film, The Dark Knight.

“I play Harvet Dent. Harvey Two-Face. They are both in the movie.”

Wait… all they had to do was ask and he confirmed what millions of fans have been wondering? Fair enough.

Now with the stage already set for Heath Ledger’s Joker to be causing trouble, along with gang wars in the wake of Falcone’s defeat, this is quite a lot of stuff to put into one movie. Of course, Batman Begins seemlessly moved from the origin to the action and 3 villains in one movie without feeling burdened.

What do you think? Is Two Face one too many? Leave a comment.

Transformers Movie Ironhide Custom GMC Topkick Rolls Out

ironhide1500.jpg
A couple weeks ago I found a beat up second-generation Camaro on craigslist, and was sorely tempted to drop $3 grand on a car worth turning into Bumblebee. Due to the amount of work needed, I had to pass. However, another chance to own a Transformer has just come up.

ironhide2500.jpgEdmunds reports that Monroe Truck Equipment in Monroe, WI has teamed with Hasbro to customize GMC TopKick 6500 pickups to the specs seen on Ironhide in Transformers. Complete with the big-rig stacks and the 20 inch wheels paired with 40 inch tires. Oh, and the Autobot logo is molded into the back tailgate, just as in the movie. This truck may not turn into an actual Autobot, but it will transform your wallet to empty: Retail price is $75,000.

Additional reporting from The Monroe Times. Powet.TV world headquarters is mere minutes away from this shop, so we’ll do our best to be on the scene when the first Ironhide rolls off the lot.

First look at Mexican Independence Day

Mexican Independence Day
Today is the more widely known “American Independence Day” but all too often “Mexican Independence Day” is unreckognised by people outside of Mexico but no longer will that be the case. Mark your calendars because Powet.tv will be bringing you this special movie on this coming Mexican Independence Day, September 16th 2007, to celebrate this momentous occasion. This film will be much like the Blockbuster hit “Independence Day” only more Mexican. The movie is shot entirely in Spanish though it stars only English speaking people and features staples of Mexican culture.

Primary photography on this project has been completed though no special effects, ADR or reshoots have been done at this time. Enjoy some stills from the film’s production while you wait patiently for it’s release.

Cloverfield, the trailer that upstages Transformers

cloverfield.jpg
I couldn’t have been more satisfied with Transformers (review on the way), but few will disagree that the mysterious trailer for a movie without a title stole the audiences attention for those few moments before Peter Cullen’s voice took hold of the theater sound system.

But what IS this movie? IMDB refers to it strictly as Untitled J.J. Abrams Project, the website , which is simply the release date www.1-18-08.com, shows a single still image. Thankfully, there is SOME information on Wikipedia

The film is scheduled to be released by Paramount Pictures on January 18th, 2008. The premise is a giant alien known as “The Parasite” invades Earth and it is filmed entirely with handheld cameras. Also known is that the movie isn’t even done filming and the trailer was filmed before the movie was finished. Not much is known about the movie, and it has been widely regarded as a secret movie and Cloverfield may be a temporary working title .

More info as we get it. Between this, I Am Legend, the Invasion Of The Body Snatchers remake and the already released Transformers, were really set for alien invasion movies. Hollywood reaction to immigration reform or just another excuse to blow something up? You decide! Leave a comment below.

The trailer itself isn’t online officially, though low quality bootlegs appear on youtube with some frequency. The best way to see it is just going to Transformers.

Transform Your Ride from GM

As a sort of Powet Exclusive, here are all the television ads for the GM “Transform Your Ride” ad campaign paired with the Transformers movie opening next week. Note there are many variations on the final ad, which are all placed here for the sake of being complete. They look very similar, but you’ll note different vehicles in the promotions and the actor has slightly different reactions.
