Bungie carefully sidestepped any game rumors in the weekly update by unleashing the news of a big Halo Graphic Novel from Marvel. In typical fashion, Bungie has all the creative control over the book, Marvel is just ditributing it. They signed on some big names from the world of comic to illustrate and write the stories within, as well as showcasing original art from Bungie’s own art team.
I’ve stayed away from the Halo novels thus far (I read FX Nine’s infamous “Ninja Gaiden” novel when I was 10 and its kept me off gamebooks for life), but I can’t not get excited about a comic exploring one of my favorites. Its due out in July, and by then we should have real Halo 3 or Halo movie news. Or at least I hope. God, I hope.

Greg Weisman, the co-creator of the Gargoyles has given an interview to comicbookresources.com. In it he describes his work on the upcoming Gargoyles comic book. The book will be in canon with the animated series and take place after the end of Season 2. After Season 2, Weisman had left the series for various reasons and Disney decided to continue without him on what is popularly known as the worst season of Gargolyes, The Goliath Chronicles. Just reading the interview, it is very clear that Weisman has a direction with this book and plenty of material. The book is slated for a possible June release, so keep an eye out. I know I will be.

This is the tagline on a teaser pic posted at the website for IDW publishing. The picture is a shot of cybertron mostly in the dark but a strange red glow emanating from the back side of the planet. The word storm is in italics. Whether this means we’ll be seeing another unicron storyline based on the picture or a return to a Sunstorm story is anyone’s guess. We can only wait and see.

Toy Fair 2006 came and went pretty fast with a deluge of new initiatives by most of the toy companies. In all the press, it was easy to miss several of the more prominent announcements, nevermind the smaller ones. One of the larger initiatives shown came from Toy Biz on their plans with the future of the Marvel Legends Line. Things are looking up if you follow this fan-favorite line.
The next 4 waves of the main line were tentatively announced, each with its own build-a-figure in the tradition of Galactus, The Sentinel and Apocalypse. Each figure in the wave will come with one piece of the larger figure included. When you have all the figures in the wave (not including chase variants) you will have all the pieces necessary to assemble the larger figure.

Trailer hit the web today.
Most of my dismay for this movie is based completely on behind the scenes snooping from spies of questionable accuracy of authority. Regardless, the trailer for the movie looks really good, and I hope the movie is good too. Still, I can’t wrap my head around certain characters changes or dying altogether. If this is “The Last Stand” then I guess its ok….

I am a casual Avengers fan and have never read any of the Ultimate books yet. I watched this movie going in with no expectations other than who most of the characters would be.
