Releases look to be ramping up finally this year. Dead Space 2 looks like the big game this week for PS3 and XBox 360, while the Wii continues to pump out peripherals without any games to show for it.

Releases are still a bit sparse coming off the new year, but I think I am most please to announce the release of Plants vs Zombies for the Nintendo DS featuring new mini-games and more. Releases are still pretty sparse after the new year so far, but there is one big game dropping this week in the form of DC Universe Online from Sony. I’ve been hearing about Jim Lee working on this game for YEARS now and the beta for many months. I look forward to seeing the feedback and reactions after its release.

The offerings continue to thin as most of the game companies have already had their big releases prior to the holiday shopping season. There aren’t even any XBox 360 or PSP offerings this week and a paltry few peripherals for the PS3 and Wii. There is so little coming out this week that I didn’t even bother making a header image for this post. You can probably expect more of the same for the next couple of weeks.

The holiday season continues! Not much coming out this week that has not already been announced. I think the big release this week is TRON Evolution, which is supposed to server as a bridge between the first movie and the one releasing very soon. Also, as a side note, I’ve stopped posting the Playstation 2 releases. There really isn’t anything new coming out for the console and Wii releases keep popping up in Amazon’s listings.
