Gat-out-of-hell-review

After becoming president of the United States, thwarting an alien invasion, and becoming rulers of the universe, what’s next for the 3rd Street Saints? Well, how about going to hell and punching the shit out of the devil? That’s what you’re about to do in this standalone epilogue to 2014’s Saint’s Row IV. The boss is kidnapped by Satan, who intends to marry him/her to his daughter Jezebel. Taking control of Johnny Gat or Kinzie Kensington, you go to hell to rescue him.

For the first time in the series, players play as someone other than the boss of the Saints (however his/her model is imported from a Saint’s Row 4 save). You’ll travel to hell and meet some old friends, while making allies of some of hell’s more famous denizens. You’ll be able to gain the favor of William Shakespeare, Blackbeard the Pirate, and Vald the Impaler among others. In lieu of the super powers you gained from the Saint’s Row IV simulation, Gat and Kinzie will gain new demonic powers that they can upgrade, similar to Saint’s Row IV. The realm of Hell is a small, yet active map with its own set of diversions and activities. The game is short, and will only take 5 hours or so to get to the ending, a little longer until the credits roll. The game is short, and gets repetitive. However, if you like Saint’s Row, Gat out of Hell will give you more of it.
