Halo 3 ODST Live Action Trailer

I’m not wild about IGN’s embed player. In fact, i think it stinks so, may want to just click here and watch the video on their site where its not a window in a window in a window.
That out of the way, its a pretty cool ad. Watch the Rookie go from bootcamp to the battlefield, all with visual effects beyond what we go in the Halo 3 Landfall ad.

The game drops on September 22, be sure to Pre-order Halo 3: ODST in order to get access to Sgt Avery Johnson as a playable character.

Is that an ODST joke? Hahaha.

I already want to play this game. Now it makes me wonder if a Halo movie isn’t a good idea after all — especially if it’s told from the view of someone WITH Master Chief rather than the Chief himself. But that probably won’t happen…

If they were going to do that, keeping Neill Blomkamp in the director’s chair would’ve been the best idea. With that never going to happen, I think a story involving a squad with Chief, Johnson and others would be best. Theres some stuff, like seeing him without the helmet on, they’ll have to keep sacred, so some regular marines (like the Firefly guys) would be best to keep it grounded.

Of course, this is the same stuff people were saying about X-Men and Transformers that people wouldn’t relate to non-human characters it works more often than it doesn’t…
