Here’s the trailer for Lucasfilms’ new Clone Wars show. Yep.

Sure looks nice. I guess. Didn’t this show already come out? Oh yeah, it was way back in 2004. I notice some repeat sets, repeat characters, probably repeat events. I know George is fond of Special Editions but did he have to go and order a remake of the only good Star Wars to be commited to the screen this decade? Some 30th Anniversary!

I’ll challenge that. Attack Of The Clone was the most moronic part of an already disappointing story. The better part of the movie is spent doing anything but fighting and then they go an cram all that garbage in the end, grinding through a ground war, jedi fight, and top it off with that Yoda fan service. Clone Wars was a welcome escape from the glorified FanFic level script of AOTC. At least with the cartoon they didn’t waste more than a few seconds talking before moving into the next battle.

I quite enjoyed Attack of the Clones, it wasn’t broken into 3 minute parts and wasn’t paced to match preexisting music or anything retarded like that.

The new trilogy is absolute shit. Tartakovsky’s Clone Wars was the only good thing to come of it.

The best thing the new trilogy had going for it was that it looked great. Clone Wars was quite the opposite in that it looked like crap. It’s like the opposite of the new trilogy in everyway but that it wasn’t good… though I suppose as someone who liked the new trilogy I guess that might explain my feelings on both…
