Episode 4 is up and ready to go! For those keeping track, it's been a while -- a very, very long while -- since our last regular episode. However, this is a meret two months after the last of our extensive Tokyo Game Show coverage. What's that you say? That was delayed too? Hmm... Rest assured, we have big plans for the show. This new episode is just the first step. The world of cartridge modifications to the Famicom/NES is much too large to wholly encapsulate within the show, so we're more than happy to point you in the direction of additional resources for this episode and others. This trend first became obvious when we finished our second episode. We could have done an entire show on the differences between the Famicom Disk System and NES versions of Zelda II, however much of the legwork had already been done by someone else. We'll probably be finding that's very much the case as we move along. But then, don't you come here for the specific twist that we put into our Famicom Dojo videos? We don't mind re-inventing the wheel every now and again.

Great new episode. Very informative and you're really working the beard.

I keep forgetting no one's seen that yet! It was in the Anniversary video clip I made, but almost no one has seen that either.
The big question I have is why SeanOrange from Episode 1 now has a beard...

As a result of temporal disturbance his facial hair changed to more closely approximate yours at that time. Appearing that close shifted him into a state where he was soon to amalgamate with your current self(which would thusly eliminate him from your workforce for the episode. The t-shirt was still different because, hey, its a different t-shirt. Famicomments? Dojo Discussion?

Those are both good suggestions! At the moment, I'm partial to Famicomments.
That thing about temporal proximity reminds me of the Children in Need Doctor Who special with Peter Davison... hm, yes...

In 7 years I believe a human actually cycles through all atoms in their body so that they're not actually composed of any of the same matter. I'm not sure how true it is but I keep hearing it. I know I personally have a metal wire across my teeth that's been there for more than 7 years.

That's something I've thought about with such time travel stories.
I think that if you could actually travel in time, your body would necessarily be composed of different matter anyway during whatever energy conversion had to happen for the time travel. Actual quantum-twinned particles would cause problems for both people otherwise.

Ack. I would never trust that kind of time travel. It's like a Star Trek teleporter. Kills you and makes a copy elsewhere.
The basic problem at the end of the day, as I see it, is that time travel is probably not possible, so there always has to be some kind of leap of faith when trying to set some rules about it.

I much prefer the concept of consciousness travel (Quantum Leap, LOST, etc), but then that consigns you to be within your own lifetime.
Now, if we ever found one of those wormholes that has a moving end (meaning it travels in time slower than the other end) the you're actually physically moving matter back in time. However, with our current technology, even finding one much less navigating it would be near-impossible. Also, it would probably be so far away from any life or civilization that the very trip itself would defeat the purpose.
That Orchid Station clip from LOST seems to imply that physical teleportation in time and space IS possible, because it seems clear that's what happened to Ben. So maybe they were able to access some wormhole that's keeping the island hidden from the rest of the world?
I'm starting to think it exists backwards or forwards in time from the rest of humanity. Like Dinobot Island.

... in the Lost world, yes time travel is possible. Did you forget what thread this is?

Anyway, Vinnk still hasn't posted this to 4cr. 200 views in a day and a half isn't terribly inspiring.

I dunno. My Midwest classic video was a huge deal for me and one of the best videos I think I ever made. 430 views right now, and I had that posted in the daily page too.
Not everything is going to be a million.

Put on a shell bra and they'll turn out in drove. Take months to make an Independence Day spoof and no one watches. It's kind of random.
