I just discovered this show, I guess about 4 months late. I must say that it was extremely informative. I have never seen a Famicom in action You should do other shows and I must agree with j-rod…drop a resume to G4. If they are worth their salt, you will be on the air in a matter of days! Keep up the good work!

Thank you for the kind words about the show. I hope you can give the other shows and regular articles a chance, though, because we have a very talented staff here that puts out a diverse array of content.

Much like the game shop that is its namesake, Famicom Dojo won’t exclusively deal with Nintendo’s products. What we are doing is to try to create a baseline for talking about the gaming industry before branching off to other consoles and companies.

The Famicom, its peripherals and successors are not well-known outside of Japan, and therefore their impact is not fully appreciated by a Western audience. We hope to make those connections with the history of American gaming, and delve into other obscuria, like the PC Engine (a.k.a. TurboGrafx-16), Wonder Swan, and other systems that had amazing success abroad.

I liked your Famicom Dojo review. I don’t know about the rest of the site. I assume you are a nintendo fanboy. Of course, for you to have the Famicom screams fanboy. The famicom looks better than American NES brick to me. The rest of the videos and stuff on your site don’t appear to be as impressive as Famicom Dojo. Thus, I ask you to work on the next episode of Famicom Dojo more than any other videos. Having more episodes in the series will make your site more popular.

I was SO EXCITED when I got that disk. I was like, “DUDE!” Then I get home, and side A is Zelda. Side B? Also Zelda.

Cripes.

Mind you, this was literally on the heels of the disappointment in finding the Zelda disk had Wrecking Crew and Solomon’s Key on it, so it all worked out in the end. …except I still don’t have a Castlevania Disk.
